SORA Japanese School Privacy Policy and User Agreement

SORA Japanese School (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates http://www.sora-edu.com (the “Site”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site.

We use your Personal Information only for providing service, receiving payments, and improving the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Activity

Data Used:
To deliver this functionality and record activities around site management, the following information is captured:

  • User email address
  • User role
  • User login
  • User display name
  • Local user IDs
  • The activity to be recorded
  • Site ID of Authorize.net on which the activity takes place
  • The site’s Jetpack version
  • The timestamp of the activity

Some activities may also include the actor’s IP address (login attempts, for example)

Activity Tracked:

  • Login attempts/actions
  • Document Uploads
  • Messages to Admin
  • Payment History on Our Site

Retention:
These activities and their records will be kept up to a year, then transferred to a long-term storage server.

Data Synced:
Successful and failed login attempts, which will include the actor’s IP address and user agent.

Log Data

Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”).

This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze the Log Data that your browser sends us.

Notifications

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, promotional materials and other information that is important to you. We may use newsletters and emails to notify you of school holidays and events that may interest you throughout the year.

Protect

Data Used: In order to check login activity and potentially block fraudulent attempts, the following information is used: attempting user’s IP address, attempting user’s email address/username (i.e. according to the value they were attempting to use during the login process), and all IP-related HTTP headers attached to the attempting user.

Activity Tracked: Failed login attempts (these include IP address and user agent). We also set a cookie (jpp_math_pass) for 1 day to remember if/when a user has successfully completed a math captcha to prove that they’re a real human. Learn more about this cookie.

Payment

When making payments through our portal page, we may disclose the including, but not limited to, the following information to a third-party payment gateway “Authorize.net”. Authorize.net is a payment gateway provider that processes your payment information to post transactions on our website.
